Hello, hello, hello!
It’s been almost a year since I have posted my last foundation review and I would love to continue them as my last one received great feedback! With that being said, today I will be reviewing the SkinClearing foundation from Neutrogena. Also, this foundation may not be for everyone. I have struggled with problematic skin so foundations that are oil-free and produce acne-relief are best for me. Let’s get started!
- What it promises: formulated with MicroClear® technology to not only treat blemishes, but to also help prevent emerging breakouts. It’s shine-free, has a natural coverage and won’t clog pores! It also has salicylic acid in it to relieve acne.
- Price: $14.00
- Coverage: Light to Full
- What I applied it with: I always use a kabuki brush to apply my foundations, but I did try both the brush and sponge with this product and I must say that the brush does apply and blend it out the best.
- PROS: the MicroClear® technology, the buildability (you can get sheer or full coverage), does not clog your pores, does not get shiny (a plus for me) and it also photographs beautifully!
- CONS: does not have any SPF.
I have been using this foundation ever since I used it on one of my prom clients. She brought the foundation for me to use on her since she did have a few breakouts and it covered them wonderfully and looked great in pictures. I love that I could use it as a ‘tinted moisturizer’ on an everyday basis and then build up the coverage for a night out without it looking ‘cakey’. This product has surpassed my expectations! I would love to hear your thoughts on this foundation if you have used it. If you have any foundations you’d like for me to review, please let me know!
