Neutrogena SkinClearing Foundation Review

Hello, hello, hello!

It’s been almost a year since I have posted my last foundation review and I would love to continue them as my last one received great feedback! With that being said, today I will be reviewing the SkinClearing foundation from Neutrogena. Also, this foundation may not be for everyone. I have struggled with problematic skin so foundations that are oil-free and produce acne-relief are best for me. Let’s get started!

  • What it promises: formulated with MicroClear® technology to not only treat blemishes, but to also help prevent emerging breakouts. It’s shine-free, has a natural coverage and won’t clog pores! It also has salicylic acid in it to relieve acne.
  • Price: $14.00
  • Coverage: Light to Full
  • What I applied it with: I always use a kabuki brush to apply my foundations, but I did try both the brush and sponge with this product and I must say that the brush does apply and blend it out the best.
  • PROS: the MicroClear®  technology, the buildability (you can get sheer or full coverage), does not clog your pores, does not get shiny (a plus for me) and it also photographs beautifully!
  • CONS: does not have any SPF.

I have been using this foundation ever since I used it on one of my prom clients. She brought the foundation for me to use on her since she did have a few breakouts and it covered them wonderfully and looked great in pictures. I love that I could use it as a ‘tinted moisturizer’ on an everyday basis and then build up the coverage for a night out without it looking ‘cakey’. This product has surpassed my expectations! I would love to hear your thoughts on this foundation if you have used it. If you have any foundations you’d like for me to review, please let me know!

Thanks for reading!
